(Portland, OR) June 4, 2014 – Riding high atop a wave of successful, acclaimed new titles, awards, and opportunities, Oni Press is proud to announce the appointment of Tim Wiesch as Vice President of Business Development.

“It’s been a great time for Oni Press.  We have a strong slate of new creator-owned comics and graphic novels as well as some really exciting opportunities on the horizon outside of our core publishing line,” said Oni Press founder and Publisher Joe Nozemack.

“Our goal is to grow our company and brand, and to continue pursuing new avenues and opportunities for our titles and creators," he continued.  "With his experience, knowledge, and enthusiasm, Tim is an incredibly strong candidate to help us crush that goal and continue expanding,” he continued.

"I'm really excited about the opportunity and challenges ahead of me at Oni Press,” said Wiesch. “They've been doing some absolutely incredible books over the last few years and I can't wait to help bring them to fans all over the world and help expand Oni Press’ brand and global presence.”

Wiesch rides triumphantly into Oni Press after spending five years as Dark Horse Comics’ Director of Foreign Licensing, spearheading the publishing of numerous Dark Horse titles in territories across the globe, from South America to Mongolia, and much of the world in between.  Though, an expert in the field of foreign licensing, that’s far from all Wiesch will be responsible for in his new position at Oni Press.

"Tim brings with him an incredible work ethic, a vast professional network, and an impressive knowledge of the comic industry," added Editor in Chief James Lucas Jones.  "His smarts, savvy, and tastes make him the perfect addition to Oni Press."

2014 has been a time of thunderous success and growth for Oni Press.   As the staff prepares for the rest of the convention season and undertakes a rapidly growing publishing schedule, it’s safe to say this storm is far from over.
